Conqueror’s Blade Season 7 Interview with FearItself

We had a chance to sit with FearItself, One of the leader from the House Unbroken in the game Conqueror’s Blade and we wanted to know how Season 7 went for Unbroken and this is what he had to say.

Fearitself from UBG

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am the former liege of Unbroken for close to two years and am now a part of the leadership team for the Unbroken Gaming Community.

How and When did you end up joining Unbroken in CB?

I began playing CB in the early days of the game. For most players, the first house you join is based on mostly random factors, and that applied to me as well. After sticking with that house for a few months, I quickly realized that the atmosphere of their house did not mesh with what I was looking for in a community. TheArchon was one of the first friends I made in the game and we remained in constant communication and played in random sieges together a lot. It was natural for me to head over to Unbroken (Blackshirts was the name at that time.) once I decided to leave.

Would you like to comment on past seasons of CB?

Life is a roller coaster; the highs in life are not nearly as rewarding if you do not experience any low points. We have won and we have lost, but we never gave up. What separates Unbroken from any other house that I have observed in this game is that we can endure through adversity. We have truly created a community built to weather any test and any obstacle. Other houses fall apart the moment they begin losing, they seek to build themselves up by tearing others down, and they consistently fail to realize what makes Unbroken great and that is our people are true friends who care about each other more than they care about a silly game. Games are just a vehicle for us to spend time with each other and as long as we are having a good time then each game is a success. I would challenge anyone to find another house that has been through as much adversity as Unbroken and still brings 90+ players to TW week in and week out or is even competitive in the endgame landscape. After the past several seasons of threats, harassment, and disgusting comments made by many in the CB community towards Unbroken it is nice to see which house is still standing when the smoke clears.

How was season 7 now that the season is coming to an end?

It was fantastic. We had great fights, great games, and ended up coming away with yet another season victory.

What was your favorite moment in season 7?

There are too many to mention, the fight at Chrysanthus, the multiple defenses of Kisber and Tural Varos, the wave of victories in the borderlands. All were great moments that I will cherish because they were experienced with my friends.

Any change you want to see going forward in season 8?

I am very pleased with the state of the house. It’s stronger than it has ever been, thanks to PaulWeezY and Torgaddon’s recruitment and new leadership they have put UBG in a fantastic position for the future.

What is your vision for the future for Unbroken in CB?

My vision has already been accomplished. My goal two years ago was to create a self-sustaining community that could survive well beyond FearItself. I wanted to instill a system of values, procedures, and a culture of competitive success that would not require a singular charismatic figure to invest all of their time into running the house. A season after stepping down as liege, I can look back and see that my legacy is not tarnished and that the future of Unbroken is brighter than ever with others at the helm. Mission accomplished.
